EXPERIENCE

Kate is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. She started her career as a money market dealer with Hill Samuel Merchant Bank and now has 30 years’ experience in financial services. She founded Fiscal Private Client Services (Pty) Ltd in 1997 and remains a Director.

Kate has thought carefully about the transitions that many of us face in life and the financial implications of these. Kate and Fiscal’s approach is to listen to your story and then help you make a clear and practical connection to the way you seek to live given your resources – not just your financial resources. Kate was instrumental in developing Fiscal’s planning and investment counselling service – probably the first of its kind in South Africa.

Kate and her colleagues are sensitive to the challenges and transitions of living to be very old, or caring for an elderly person. We are aware of the potential complications of being the child of an elderly parent, either one who lives close by or one who lives far away. The transition from living independently to increasingly needing help to manage is one that can be prepared for and may be managed better. Fiscal can offer individuals and families guidance in this area.
