| Kate is a Certified Financial Planner. She started her career as a money market dealer with Hill Samuel Merchant Bank. At Hill Samuel she began developing an investment advisory service for private clients. In 1987 she joined FISC Investment Management (Pty) Ltd where she ran the private clients department, developing an investment counselling service, probably the first of its kind in South Africa. During this time she was also involved with the first Index Unit Trust in South Africa, the All Share Index Fund. She purchased her department from FISC in 1997 and formed Fiscal Private Client Services (Pty) Ltd. She now offers financial planning and counselling services along with her fellow Certified Financial Planner, Gavin van Dyk, whose details are also available on this site. Her work is supported by acsis, a leading financial planning company which provides support to independent financial planners. Fiscal was the first strategic partner to be appointed by acsis in Cape Town. |
